Sherman Buildings has been raising the standard of pole building construction since 1976 — that’s 50 years of craftsmanship, customer relationships, and buildings that last. What started as a family construction company has grown into one of Minnesota’s most trusted post-frame builders, but our values have never changed.
We specialize in residential, commercial, and agricultural post-frame buildings. Every project is backed by our full-service lumber yard, which gives us control over material quality from the ground up. From initial design to final walkthrough, you’re working with a team that treats your project the same way we’d treat our own.

Is the quote really free — is there any obligation?
Yes, quotes are free and there is no obligation. We will talk through your project, gather the details we need, and put together written pricing. You decide whether to move forward.
How quickly will I hear back after I submit the form?
A member of our team typically reaches out within one business day. Complex projects — residential barndominiums, large ag buildings, commercial jobs — sometimes take a little longer to price accurately, but we will confirm receipt first so you know it is in the queue.
What information do you need to quote a building?
At minimum we need the building type, approximate size (width × length × wall height), your site's location, and how you plan to use the building. Soil conditions, door and window preferences, and finish level help us quote more precisely, but we can start a conversation without them.
Do you quote residential barndominiums and pole-barn houses?
Yes. Residential projects require a little more back-and-forth than ag or storage buildings — floor plans, engineering for residential codes, lender requirements — and our team handles all of that. See the barndominium page or post-frame home page for more.
What areas does Sherman serve?
Our core service area is Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin, with primary scheduling within approximately 200 miles of our Mora, MN headquarters. Call us if you are near the edge of that region and we will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.
